My Autumn bucket list!

With September coming around and bringing along some very autumnal days, I am as ready as ever to welcome this new season. Fall is definitely my favourite time of the year and having lived through one of the worst summers ever I can’t wait to dive into the autumnal spirit and do the most of the next three months.

As usual when a new season is starting, I always promise myself I’ll enjoy it to the fullest. However, life often gets in the way, and I often realise too late that I haven’t been able to accomplish even just a fraction of what I was planning, and it makes me feel bad, as if I wasted a lot of precious time.

This year, I have decided to write down a bucket list for autumn and document on here the things I manage to tick off of it, hopefully staying motivated to actually live my favourite season as best as I can. This will also give me a bunch of ideas for when I feel stressed, as the next few months are probably going to be terrifying as the start of my master’s degree and my first exams get closer.

Some of the things I have included in my bucket list are very simple, like baking a cake, while some are a bit more out of my comfort zone. Either way, I hope I will manage to get everything done.

So here it is, my bucket list for autumn 2018 😊

  1. Bake a pumpkin pie
  2. Make homemade hot chocolate
  3. Go to a local fair and/or to an artists’ market
  4. Bake a chocolate & pear cake
  5. Visit the botanical gardens in Padova
  6. Handmade autumnal/wintery decorations
  7. Bake chocolate chip cupcakes
  8. Buy Halloween pumpkins
  9. Make homemade pizza
  10. Go for a hike in the woods
  11. Go out to photograph the trees once they’re all colourful
  12. Visit three new places & three new cafes

I will give myself until the end of November to complete all of these. I really hope that, despite everything, I will be able to enjoy this season and get to the end of it feeling I have lived it as well as I possibly could.

What do you wish to do this upcoming fall? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great list! I’m trying to come up with my list for September right now – you are way ahead of me! I’ve always wanted to stay in a cabin in the woods in the Fall – so I think I’m going to give that a try. Sounds like you will have a lovely Fall – enjoy it all!

  2. Great list! I made one last year but didn’t check many items of it – time ran away from me but I’m determined to check some of them off this year. I want to go to Thorpe Park’s Fright Night again this year (I missed last year’s) and would love to go to a pick your own pumpkin patch.
